The Connection

I’ve been a Keanu fan for a long time now. This first movie I saw starring Keanu was Point Break, (and I’m still deeply in love with Johnny Uttah until this day) and since then, here I am following his career.
This fansite used to be in portuguese language, smaller and constantly offline due to free server issues. But somewhere in 2003 I found a host who accept to give me a new home and this completelly changes the site’s focus. I changed it to english language (the basic requerement from the host) and made it a little bigger. After this, we had another server change, now to Fan-Sites.org, which I can’t pretend to leave anymore.

Name: Keanu Connection. This site an extension of my old Keanu Reeves fansite, Those Pretty Eyes (in portuguese).
The Domain: Was bought by lovely Gertie in February 2006.
Date Started: Keanu Connection: September 02, 2003. Those Pretty Eyes was online for 3 years, since September 2000.
Host: We are currently hosted on the fan-sites.org network. Before that we were at allstarz.org. We moved to fan-sites.org in March 30, 2003.
Tools: I use Adobe Photoshop CS for my graphics. For my html/php coding, I use Notepad and Dreamweaver MX.
Webmasters: I (Luciana) run, own and created Keanu Connection.

This site is not official. We don’t have any connection with Keanu or his management. We’re just fans, making a website to show our support for this talented actor. Don’t send any e-mails to Keanu, because he won’t receive them. They will only be deleted.

The Webmistress

My name is Luciana, and I’m a 35 years old girl from São Paulo, Brazil. I’m married and have two kids: a 7 years old daughter and a 2 year baby boy. I love cinema and movies, and love make websites. Making a website is my way to show my love and support for the actor’s work, and it’s my favorite hobby.

Besides Keanu, my favorite actors are River Phoenix, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Ethan Hawke, Mark Ruffalo, Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, Edward Norton, Tom Hanks, Gael García Bernal and the brazilians Rodrigo Santoro, Selton Mello, Bruno Garcia, Matheus Nachtergaele and Wagner Moura.
My favorite actresses are Winona Ryder, Drew Barrymore, Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, Juliette Binoche, Neve Campbell, and the brazilians Fernanda Montenegro, Claudia Abreu, Camila Morgado, Marilia Pêra.

My favorite Keanu’s movies are Point Break, My Own Provate Idaho, Speed and The Devil’s Advocate, but it doesn’t have a film that I have really not liked. I’m serious.

Why Keanu?

I’ve admired Keanu since I saw him for the first time in Point Break. I was astonished by his performance and so I started to search more about the guy. And I discover some great movies behind, as so great movies came along. But was when I started to read some interviews that I really started to be his fan. I saw that, beyond the good actor, he has a great personality: intelligent, nice, simple, smart, charismatic.
I adore Keanu. He’s wonderful! He’s talented. And he’s a normal guy, a ‘regular person’ who happens to be an actor and don’t make the ’star’ type. He keeps his feet on the ground, and I love it!
