THE SKINNY: The cast of THE PRIVATE LIVES OF PIPPA LEE is becoming a star-studded affair, with new additions Keanu Reeves, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Alan Arkin and Monica Bellucci joining the ensemble drama, announced Hollywood Reporter.
Plan B Entertainment and Elevation Filmworks are producing, while Rebecca Miller (THE BALLAD OF JACK AND ROSE) directs.
The story, based on Miller’s forthcoming novel, tells of a “dutiful 50-year-old wife whose husband falls for a younger woman, freeing her to explore her buried sensuality and leading to a very quiet nervous breakdown.”
The title character belongs to Robin Wright Penn. Julianne Moore and Winona Ryder are also on board, Moore playing a lesbian novelist. Gyllenhaal will be portraying Wright Penn’s pill-popping mother in flashbacks.

After months and months of people not in the know asking me “Is Keanu Reeves in Watchmen?”, Fox Searchlight Pictures has finally realized their upcoming film The Night Watchman posed a marketing challenge which was sure to create confusion in consumers, especially with buzz growing for the Warner Bros/Zack Snyder adaptation of Alan Moore’s epic superhero tale Watchmen. So Searchlight have decided to do the right thing and rename the film “Street Kings”. Besides, I’m pretty sure that the script for The Night Watchman was penned way after the Moore graphic novel was available in book stores. Although it should be noted that the film is based on a story by James Ellroy. I do remember this film floating around the development ponds for a few years now, once attached to Spike Lee, than Oliver Stone in 2005.

The film also stars Forest Whitaker, Hugh Laurie, Chris Evans, Naomie Harris, Jay Mohr, John Corbett, Cedric the Entertainer, Amaury Nolasco, Terry Crews, Common and The Game. Street Kings will hit theaters on Friday, April 11th 2008.

I just added captures from Thumbsucker.
Sorry for our lack of updates, but everything is going really quiet in Keanuland. He didn’t made any appearance in 2007, and also there’s no new on his movie except from the cast news.
