DNA Tests Clear Keanu Reeves

TORONTO — A lawyer for Keanu Reeves will ask an Ontario judge to dismiss a paternity suit brought by a woman from Barrie, Ont. after DNA test results showed the actor is not the father of any of her children.

Karen Sala, 47, sought DNA testing claiming Reeves possibly fathered “more than one” of her four children, now in their 20s.

“The results confirm Mr. Reeves is not the father of any of the children,” Reeves lawyer, Lorne H. Wolfson said Wednesday.

Reeves maintained he never had an intimate relationship with Sala or even knew her, Wolfson said.

Sala said she questions the validity of the test results.

“I know he is the biological father,” Sala said. “He obviously doesn’t want to take responsibility. If he wanted to he would have done it years ago.”

Wolfson said he will be in court Jan. 7 asking a judge to dismiss Sala’s case.

He said he is confident the DNA testing was conducted appropriately and the results are sound.

“We’re asking for a declaration he is not the father and we are asking for a dismissal of her claims for child and spousal support,” he said.

Wolfson said it is “unfortunate” Sala is challenging the validity of the DNA results.

“For whatever reason she is intent on harassing Mr. Reeves and that seems to be what this is turning into,” Wolfson said.

Sala said she knew Reeves when he lived in Toronto, and grew up in the same area. She said they remained friends and the actor would visit her when he came to Toronto.

In addition to a declaration of parentage, Sala, who is representing herself, sought child support of $150,000 per month, retroactive to June 1988, as well as $3 million per month in spousal support, retroactive to November 2006.

Reeves was born in Beirut, Lebanon, but lived in Toronto during his youth before moving to Los Angeles.

    I knew Keanu wasn’t the father! I can’t imagine having to deal with this sort of craziness from people. And I am still wondering why she was trying to get spousal support when they were never married.

    It amazes me that people try and rip of the so called rich and famous. Do you not remember that they are just the same as you and me and most have had a worst life and upbringing then most but have been at the right place at the right time and worked hard to make it. Please leave them have the personal space and cherish them as human beings not just objects of society. Peace and love to all xxxxxx

    Pretty amazing that this loon was able to even get this suit into court. I applaud the judge and the court for throwing it out. I’ve read where she state Keanu used hypnosis and manipulated the tests results. After I stopped laughing I felt this nut needs to get some major counseling. Keanu has always appeared to me as a good person and stays out of the limelight and most of the craziness of Hollywood. According to the recent article she has to pay him 15,000 for court costs, if that does happen he needs to donate that to charity for needy children.

    God that woman is a dog I can’t even think that Keanu would even think of having sex with a woman like that ? I feel sorry for Keanu Reeves fame is not so fun the poor guy can only go out at night on his norton comando 850 motorcycle wearing a helmit so no body would know who he is and he would ride in the back hills of LA with out having to worrie about getting a mob of people after him, other then that he lives like a hermit most of the time. I guess there is a big price to pay with fame.
