Legendary comedian George Carlin dead at 71.
Reuters had the news:
Comedian George Carlin, a counter-culture hero famed for his routines about drugs and dirty words, died of heart failure at a Los Angeles-area hospital on Sunday, a spokesman said. He was 71.
Carlin, who had a history of heart problems, died at St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica about 6 p.m. PDT (9 p.m. EDT) after being admitted earlier in the afternoon for chest pains, spokesman Jeff Abraham told Reuters.
Known for his edgy, provocative material, Carlin achieved status as an anti-Establishment icon in the 1970s with stand-up bits full of drug references and a routine about seven dirty words you could not say on television. A regulatory battle over a radio broadcast of his “Filthy Words” routine ultimately reached the U.S. Supreme Court.
Carlin worked with Keanu in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.
In an early announcement to retailers, Fox will bring the gritty crime flick ‘Street Kings’ to Blu-ray this August.Starring Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker, ‘Street Kings’ caused barely a ripple at the domestic box office this past Winter, but it will get another shot when Fox releases the David Ayer-directed pic on August 19 (day-and-date with the standard DVD).
Tech specs for ‘Street Kings’ include 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video (2.35:1) and a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround soundtrack.
According to early retailer details, there are no supplement specs available as of yet. The official media announcement is expected shortly, however, so stay tuned.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.98.

Keanu Reeves may have set off for a motorcycle ride this morning - but he ended up taking a bath!
Keanu broke out his Harley-Davidson and set off for a pleasure drive with a few friends in San Remo, Italy. Unfortunately, while motorcycles may be fun to ride, they sure don’t protect you from the rain - as Keanu found out when his group got caught in a torrential downpour!
Fortunately, the rain didn’t seem to dampen Keanu’s spirits one bit - the rain may have soaked the star to the bone by the time his party made it back to the south of France, but it couldn’t wash the big smile off his face.
You know we don’t post paparazzi pictures here, but those are so cute and Keanu looks so happy with the rain bath, that I don’t resist!
Thanks to Nick for some pictures, and Just Jared for the other ones. If you wanna see the other pictures, Just Jared has all, including the yesterday ones where Keanu was taking a bath with a shirtless girl.
